In comparing our students' "Stanford" test scores with Newton and Rockdale County Public School's test scores, there is a remarkable difference. Woodlee's students that have been enrolled two years or less tested 1 to 1 1/2 points higher than public school students. Woodlee's students that have been enrolled as preschoolers tested 3 to 3 1/2 points higher than public school students. We give God the Glory! It is Him who enables us with the wisdom to reach the students emotionally, spiritually, and academically.

Scholarship: Apogee

Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund

Apply for an Apogee Scholarship

Georgia residents enrolled in secondary or primary public school or eligible to enroll in a qualified kindergarten program or pre-kindergarten program are able to apply for the Apogee Scholarship.

Students can receive between 40-70% of tuition from an Apogee Scholarship. Qualification and award amount are based on financial need.

The school utilizes the School and Student Services program from the National Association of Independent Schools to determine financial need. NAIS provides the school with a non-biased, third-party picture of a family's financial need.

Those interested in applying for an Apogee Scholarship must complete the Parents' Financial Statement from the NAIS, found online at The Parents' Financial Statement Website. Information collected through this service is confidential and secure.

Donate to the Apogee Fund

Funds contributed to the Apogee Scholarship Fund provide scholarships for enrolling students who demonstrate financial need. When you redirect your tax dollars to this fund, you are providing quality Christian education to students who would not receive it otherwise.

Through the Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund, Georgia taxpayers can REDIRECT, at no cost, Georgia Income Tax dollars to eligible Georgia Private Schools. As an added bonus, Individuals and Families in AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax) can actually profit up to 28% for making donations.

Donors receive a "dollar-for-dollar" Georgia tax credit for donations to the Scholarship Fund and in turn we provide eligible students with scholarships for private school tuition in Georgia.

The entire program is thanks to the Georgia HB1133 Georgia Education Expense Credit approved in May 2008 which provides individual and corporate taxpayers with the opportunity to contribute to qualified student scholarship organizations and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their Georgia income tax liabilities. The amounts contributed to the SSOs are used to provide scholarships to students who desire to attend private Pre K-12 schools.

Details

$50 million maximum allocated each calendar year for the entire program.

Credits allocated on a first come, first-served basis.

Taxpayers must add back to Georgia taxable income that part of any federal charitable contribution deduction taken on a federal return for which Georgia Qualified Education Expense Credit is allowed.

Donor must notify the Department of Revenue regarding the total amount intended to donate to an SSO and request pre-approval for the tax credit.

Within 30 days of the pre-approval notice, donors must make their contributions to an SSO.

Donors must make their donation to an SSO by the end of the same calendar year in which the donation was pre-approved.
